The company has established Thailand as the production base for WASHLET™ and is investing over 1.073 billion baht to build its third factory in Saraburi province, aiming to boost export markets while launching "WASHLET™+" to meet all consumer needs, reinforcing its leadership in sanitary ware from Japan for over 100 years.
Mr. Hiroyuki Suzuki, President of TOTO (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of modern sanitary ware and faucets, revealed that TOTO has been a leader in innovation and technology in sanitary ware for over 100 years and continuously prioritizes product development. According to a survey by Euromonitor International Ltd., TOTO ranked first in global sales of toilet seats (WASHLET™) in 2016, which strongly reinforces the success of TOTO's innovative products.

Recently, the company has invested 1.073 billion baht in constructing its third factory in Thailand specifically for producing WASHLET™, recognizing the growing demand for WASHLET™ worldwide, particularly in Asia and the United States. This factory will not only enhance production capacity by utilizing the latest machinery but will also incorporate high-quality tools to facilitate production, such as LED lighting systems and air conditioning in the resin molding area. Additionally, it emphasizes environmental care by recycling wastewater and using a new energy-efficient kiln tunnel, capable of producing large quantities of products. This policy aligns with TOTO's vision for global environmental stewardship established in 2014, with the third factory expected to have a production capacity of approximately 450,000 units per year.

Mr. Hiroyuki stated that construction of the new factory began in May 2018 and is expected to be completed and operational by April 2020. The WASHLET™ production facilities of TOTO GROUP exist both in Japan and abroad. The factory in Thailand will be the fifth in the company’s network, but counting only the overseas WASHLET™ production facilities, it will be the third. This investment aligns with TOTO GROUP's strategy to expand its international market, with WASHLET™ as the primary product starting from 2018, aiming for TOTO products to be recognized for their quality and standards across all levels, while also meeting global standards and TOTO's stringent quality control, ensuring positive market reception in Thailand.
Additionally, the company has launched the automatic toilet seat "WASHLET™+", designed to meet all consumer needs with a focus on perfect design that addresses all usage requirements. The water pipes and hoses of WASHLET™+ are cleverly concealed within a luxurious shape, while the interior of the toilet bowl has been redesigned to be more rounded, making it harder for dirt to adhere. Coupled with advanced cleaning technology, it features three main technologies: the TORNADO FLUSH system, which releases water from high-pressure nozzles to clean dirt from the surface of the sanitary ware in all directions; the CEFIONTECT coating, a special surface treatment that makes the sanitary ware smooth and shiny, reducing dirt adhesion and bacterial growth; and the EWATER+ system, which can eliminate stains, disinfect, and prevent invisible bacteria.
